Dr. Tamara Mouras is the current Academic Program Director the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security programs at Columbia Southern University. Dr. Mouras’ teaching background includes over 12 years of higher academic teaching in the disciplines of Homeland Security, Strategic Security and Protection Management, Public Safety Leadership, Criminal Justice, Intelligence, Public Policy and Human Services. Among her subject matter areas of expertise are Theories of Terrorism, Terrorism Typology, Counterterrorism, Domestic Terrorism, Homegrown Violent Extremism (HVE), and the Radicalization Process of Individuals and/or Groups. Dr. Mouras received her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University and holds an M.S. in Human Services in Criminal Justice from Capella University. Dr. Mouras also holds a Ph.D. in Public Service Leadership in Criminal Justice from Capella University. Dr. Tamara Mouras brings over a decade of teaching experience within various online learning platforms as well as ground campus instructing.
